Herend Baroque Tray – Victoria Pattern – Reticulated Design – Extremely Fine and Rare – Perfect Condition

For sale is a magnificent and rare Herend porcelain baroque tray in the classic and world-famous Victoria (Viktória) pattern.
This piece showcases an exceptional level of craftsmanship, featuring a fully reticulated (pierced) border, intricately detailed hand-painting, and relief décor molded directly into the porcelain mass—a combination that makes this type particularly scarce and highly desirable among collectors.

Features

Pattern: Herend Victoria (VBO)

Design: Baroque tray with pierced/reticulated edge

Decoration: Extremely fine hand-painted butterflies and floral motifs, raised relief (mass-molded) ornaments

Type: Rare variant, much less common than the standard Victoria trays

Condition: Flawless – no chips, cracks, wear, or restoration

Authenticity: Factory-marked, guaranteed original Herend

About the Victoria Pattern

Introduced in 1851, the Victoria décor became world-renowned when it won the Grand Prize at the Great Exhibition in London, attracting the admiration of Queen Victoria herself—after whom the pattern was later named.
It features brightly colored butterflies, peonies, and oriental flowers inspired by Far Eastern porcelain. The combination of vivid colors and elegant gilding remains one of Herend’s most beloved and prestigious designs.

Craftsmanship

This tray represents some of the most labor-intensive work Herend produces:

Each opening in the reticulated border is hand-cut

Every butterfly and flower is individually hand-painted

The raised decorative elements are molded in the porcelain body, giving the piece depth and texture
A true masterpiece of Hungarian porcelain artistry.

Shipping

Your item will be packed with exceptional care:

Each piece individually wrapped in multiple layers of bubble wrap

Secure double-boxing

Generous paper cushioning for protection
Safe worldwide shipping guaranteed.

A rare opportunity to acquire an exquisite, museum-quality Herend Victoria baroque tray—an outstanding showpiece for collectors of fine porcelain.
