Beautiful painting, large in size and with engaging colors, by the painter Carla Horat (1938).
Title: The Barber of Seville, 120 x 100 cm, from 1998, oil on canvas, with inventory number 34.

The Artist has exhibited in the most important museums around the world, including Paris, Seville, Venice, Tokyo, New York, Alexandria in Egypt, etc.
Among the most significant personalities in the world of art and culture are Leonardo Sciascia, Antonello Trombadori, Enrico Baj, and others.
Daughter of art (her father Theo is a well-known Swiss watercolorist), she moved to Ticino at the age of five and later to Verona, where she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts. Since 1981, she has resided in Palermo, where she obtained a chair in engraving techniques at the Academy of Fine Arts. She has taught at the International School of Graphics in Venice and, since 1986, also at the International Center of Graphics in Venice, where she has conducted courses in burin and non-toxic engraving techniques. She has directed engraving and painting workshops at various foreign universities: Rio de Janeiro (PUC University), Mexico City (UNAM University), Merida (Yucatan, Marist University), Barcelona (Faculty of Fine Arts). Since 2005, she has dedicated herself particularly to the Artist's Book.
She has held numerous exhibitions, including in Venice, Palermo, Lugano, Paris, Seoul, Tokyo, New York, Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro, Monaco, Nuremberg, and Bremen. Among those who have written about her are, among others, Antonello Trombadori, Leonardo Sciascia, Gesualdo Bufalino, Vincenzo Consolo, and Enrico Baj.
Numerous exhibitions have been held both in Italy and abroad, particularly in Switzerland, Germany, France, Spain, the United States, Africa, and Asia, including: Swiss National Bank, Chiasso, 1978; Sala 'Boggian', Castevecchio Museum, Verona, 1980; Villa Malpensata, Lugano (Switzerland), 1982; Galleria d’Arte al B, Palermo, 1983; Galleria Il Mosaico, Chiasso (Switzerland), 1985; PUC University (where he also held a burin workshop), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), 1988; Solo exhibition at the Italian Cultural Institute, Alexandria, Egypt, 1989; Drake University, Department of Art, School of Fine Arts, Yowa (USA), 1989; Polivalent Cultural Center, Bagnocavallo (RA), 1990; Villa Malfitano, Palermo, 1991; Musée Véra, S.
