Oil paint on canvas
132 x 180 cm
1997
in good condition and with a beautiful handcrafted frame
Signed by the artist in the right middle.

Nico Vrielink was born in 1958 in the Netherlands. From a young age, he felt drawn to an artistic career. His parents enrolled him at the Academy of Fine Arts in Arendonk and later at the University of Fine Arts in Eindhoven.

With his art diploma in hand, he travels to Singapore where he meets Jeane. That encounter would mark a real turning point in his life. Since then, Jeane has been a recurring thread throughout the artist's work.

Nico Vrielink works according to the academic method, that is, from dark to light. Next to his Jeane, another theme is particularly close to his heart: Eastern mysticism, a serene reproduction of silence and the inner self. Also, Jeane gradually becomes more serene and reserved, and these qualities are increasingly depicted on canvas, with the settings also becoming more deeply infused with mysticism.

Nico Vrielink's work is sold and exhibited worldwide: Vienna, Amsterdam, Antwerp, Kortrijk, Las Vegas, New York, Singapore, Miami, Frankfurt, Los Angeles, Rotterdam, Jakarta, Ghent, San Francisco, Knokke, Berlin, Boston, and an impressive list that continues to grow strongly. Nico Vrielink's work is part of major museum, corporate, and private collections, and there have now been six books published about the work and life of this extraordinary artist.
