Sheaffer - Targa Slimline XGS 14K/585 M-nib + 2 extra pen nibs: 23K X-nib + 23K F-nib - Fountain pen

Sheaffer Targa Slimline XGS 14K/585 golden M-nib + 2 extra pen nibs: 23K X-nib + 23K F-nib.

This Sheaffer (slimline) XGS was produced from 1982 to 1989.
It is the first original version with the 14K/585 M-nib.
Cap and barrel are made of brushed stainless steel, finished with a 23K gold-plated clip.
At the bottom of the cap, the engravings “SHEAFFER USA”.

I am also including one unused 23K electroplated X-nib section + one unused 23K electroplated F-nib section.
In total you have 3 different nibs, which is quite luxurious!
The M marking on the M-nib section is not stamped, unlike the other sections where the X and F stamps are clearly visible (look at image 5). The M marking is engraved in black so small (cannot photograph) and can only be seen with a magnifying glass where the section meets the barrel!
The pen uses the very rare Sheaffer slimline squeeze converter, rare and highly sought-after part and no longer available in regular commerce, still difficult to find in perfect working condition on the internet.
Given the scarcity of both the converter and the Skrip cartridges II: I ,as a dedicated collector, have after a long search found an alternative converter that fits and works perfectly in the Sheaffer slimline editions.
The pen has been used before with the 14k/585 M-nib section, and I inked it as a test and then cleaned it again with demineralized water.
Inked pens have only been briefly used by me, as a collector, and by no one else!

Delivered (extra 5 items):
- with one extra unused 23K X-nib and one unused 23K F-nib.
- with an alternative new and working converter.
- in the original undamaged Sheaffer box.
- with a pen case.

The pen is cosmetically and technically almost like new!
It is proper to mention that the section of the M-nib has a few minor scratches but generally negligible.
The other 2 sections are, as already mentioned, unused and 100% TOP!
I hereby guarantee the originality and perfect functioning of this beautiful Sheaffer edition.
Comes from my extensive private collection which I am selling completely, because there are no more heirs to pass it on.
