Description from the seller

A highly decorative smoking pipe, characterized by a body (bowl and stem) carved by hand in Sea Foam (known as Meerschaum in English).

Materials and Origin
The close-up image of the inside of the stove confirms the composition and origin of the object.

Material: GENUINE BLOCK MEERSCHAUM (Authentic Sea Foam in Block). This indicates that the pipe is made from a single piece of sepiolite (the mineral that composes sea foam), which is the highest quality.

Craftsmanship/Origin: Hand carved in Turkey. Turkey, particularly the Eskişehir region, is the main source of high-quality sea foam and has a long tradition in the artisanal craftsmanship of these pipes.

The pipe is carved in the shape of a reclining female figure, probably a mermaid or a sea nymph, given the context and pose.

The figure is a bust, with long, wavy hair that blends into the base of the sculpture.

The body is elegantly positioned with one arm extended backward and the other supporting the head or resting on the body.

Finish: The material, sea foam, is a uniform white-creamy color, very smooth and finely detailed.

Structure and Accessories
The mouthpiece (the part held in the mouth) is glossy black, curved ('bent pipe'), and thin, creating a strong visual contrast with the pipe's white cream body.

Custody: The pipe is stored in a custom-molded case (also called a box or a case).

In summary, this is a fine example of an artistic sea foam pipe, a handcrafted Turkish object appreciated by both smokers and collectors for its beauty and its ability to enhance the flavor of tobacco.
