AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Marco de Bartoli Marsala "Vino Magnifico del Garibaldino Salvatore Amodeo" Unification of Italy RISERVA 1860

This wine was born with the unification of Italy.
After the invasion of Sicily, a Garibaldian decided to stop on the island and produce excellent quality Marsala.
We are in the historical moment of the birth of the greatest of the " magnificent,
generous and rare wines" of the ancient Lilybeo.
The beginning of the twentieth century brought the progress and qualitative degradation of Marsala
and it was then that Salvatore Amodeo, the
Garibaldian, decided to close the doors of his Cellars and no longer sell his precious Wines.
Only after his death, exactly after the end of the Second World War, the heirs began to sell these precious nectars so concentrated that they seemed solid.
I had the opportunity to have a few hectoliters of this great Marsala, to refine it again according to the ancient methods in a dozen small barrels in the silence of my Cellar.
In Him I found the perfumes, the aromas and the taste of the Marsala produced with the Grillo and the Catarratto of the pre-phylloxera vineyards and in bottling it I felt I could offer you a ray of sunshine from my land.

Variety: Grillo 100%. Dry fortified wine.

Alcohol 15.5% Bottle 500 ml.
Excellent condition.
