Vanda Spengler was born in Switzerland in 1982 into a whimsical family passionate about words. Her grandmother is the feminist novelist Régine Deforges. "She transmitted to me a certain taste for transgression and freedom of expression. Nudity has always been simple, the relationship with the body without taboos. I knew very early that image would be my preferred medium." Passionate about cinema, she discovered photography through this lens. Moving alone into this new discipline, the raw Narcissus, she explores self-portraiture, nude. The need to capture others' bodies in their most raw and unbalanced state became evident to her. Her fight now is to highlight the diversity of these bodies.
