Emidio Pepe Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, 2022 vintage, 2 bottles of 0.75 L, neck-fill level with a fully intact metal capsule and a readable label.
Description from the seller
The bottle has a perfect filling level, on the neck, the label is excellent,
the capsule idem is completely intact excellent, perfect cork.
Inspired by the magic of the place, the Eden-Roc gin celebrates the joy of living of the legendary palace on the French Riviera. The selected botanicals are in fact grown mainly in the gardens and surroundings of the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes.
The Ribolla Gialla of Radikon is an extreme and three-dimensional white wine macerated on the skins, which excites by touching deep inner chords. Few names have coincided with the history of a place like that of Stanko Radikon with that of Oslavia, a small hamlet of Gorizia. Histrionic, innovator and visionary, the figure of Stanko has profoundly marked the world of wine, starting from the production of one of the first Italian orange wines in 1995 born from the need to give depth and complexity to Ribolla, a delicate and fragile vine. His recent passing has created a void that is difficult to fill, although his son Sasa continues the family tradition with a firm and authoritative hand. Author's pearls: changeable and unpredictable.
Ribolla di Radikon comes from pure grapes of the homonymous vine, grown on the border between Italy and Slovenia, more precisely in the area around Oslavia. The approach in the vineyard is as respectful as possible, in fact any chemical or synthetic substance is banned. In the cellar we continue with spontaneous vinification, entrusted only to the intervention of indigenous yeasts, and not adding sulfur dioxide at bottling. No clarification, no filtration for true territorial juices. After the manual harvest of the grapes, the Ribolla must macerates in contact with its skins for about 4 months, and ages for about 40 months in 25-35 hectolitre oak barrels.
Emidio Pepe describes it as the wine of the future for its unparalleled aging capacity and for its strong personality, far from fashion. Emidio Pepe's Montepulciano d'Abruzzo comes from old vines, most of which are still cultivated with a canopy. With a dense and impenetrable ruby red color, it releases immediate notes of black cherry, blackberry and raspberry jam, together with hints of quinine and spices.
