With her artworks she tries to bring her subjects forward in the purest way. Ursula transforms objects into powerful still lifes and the portraits are a reflection of a bygone time, in which every now and then a sprinkle of modern life is incorporated.
Her work is unconventional and the use of light tends towards her sources of inspiration; the paintings of Jacques-Louis David, Rembrandt and Caravaggio.
As a photographer, Ursula also tries to distinguish herself through diversity in her work and, in addition to individual creations, she also makes series, in which she lets multiple images tell one story. She was discovered, among other things, with her intriguing, tranquil still lifes: the series Plastic Vegetables’ and the series ‘House-4-Sale’.
