The Lakes Distillery is a distillery in the north of England. Located near Bassenthwaithe Lake, a national park in the Lake District, one of England's most beautiful natural areas. The distillery is housed in an old Victorian farmhouse beside the River Derwent.
The Whiskymaker’s Editions are special-edition single malt whiskies which showcase their whiskymaker's sense of adventure in cask selection, maturation, and blending. Each unique bottling is an expression of creative freedom, the product of a playground where instinct, experience and inspiration roam free, coming together to realise one intrinsic objective; the creation of outstanding flavours.
The second single malt whisky in The Whiskymaker’s Reserve series; No.2 was released in 2019 and is an intense and robust single malt whisky, bottled at cask strength - 60.9% ABV - and matured in the finest, meticulously sourced PX, red wine and bourbon casks. With only 4,788 bottles available in the UK, the nose is rich and complex with dry fruits and treacle, creamy layers of wood spice, comforting vanilla on the palate, and a long and luxurious.
Bottle is in excellent condition, box has a small white spot in one corner from opening and closing the lid.
