Vierluik in the style of Alfons Mucha - The Four Seasons, an oil painting four-panel work from the 1980s, Origin: Netherlands.
Description from the seller
Louis Nagelkerke (Eindhoven, February 3, 1949) has been working as a professional artist since 1980. Louis is a versatile artist who is never without inspiration or new ideas. Movement, beauty, and mysticism are characteristic of his artworks. He is especially inspired by life in the Indonesian archipelago and is fascinated by the mystery of its inhabitants, both human and animal. His inspiration often relates to the Eastern person—musicians, dancers, and female dancers, particularly the people of the beautiful island of Bali. People from the theater are also frequently his models. The subjects of his work are as varied and rich as life itself. But his love for Eastern culture and religion, music, and dance is always present. Louis Nagelkerke is especially known for his highly realistic depictions of people—bringing out the beauty in humans and animals. This is the artist's credo, aiming to make the world more beautiful with his paintings. He is capable of capturing the essence of the image in posture and atmosphere with precision.
The work is a copy of the famous piece 'Les Heures du Jour' by the renowned Art Nouveau artist Alfons Mucha (1860-1939).
The work consists of four panels, each measuring 180 cm by 61 cm.
Viewing of the plot is always possible. All contact information can be found on our own website. Art Dumay has an in-house list-making workshop with nearly 100 years of experience. If you're interested, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.
