Description from the seller
Rare surviving episodes from various Sunday Comics sections, featuring amazing episodes of Snow White and Mickey Mouse and other series:
This bundle contains 99 pages, published between 1935 and 1953. Each series is bagged in a separate brown bag. Most pages have comics printed recto/verso. The verso side can feature various comics. Due to the high volume of pages in this lot, only some images were selected.
- Snow White 1938 x4
- Mickey Mouse 1940 x15
- Mickey Mouse 1941 x31
- Mickey Mouse 1942 x26
- Mickey Mouse 1952-1953 x23
- In 1930, King Features began syndicating a daily Mickey Mouse comic strip drawn by Floyd Gottfredson. Over the decades, a wide range of Disney comic strips were syndicated, including Donald Duck, Silly Symphonies, and the Disney features, beginning with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The first color animated feature Snow White was turned into a comic strip written by script writer Merrill de Maris, drawn by Hank Porter and inked by Bob Grant. It started several weeks before the premiere and several months before the general release. Interestingly, the Prince plays a more important role that in the film, as was originally planned.
The pages are in good condition, although wrinkles, tears, flaking and missing pieces may occur.
The pages were conserved in brown paper bags and will be delivered as such, however also wrapped in plastic.
Will be shipped with track&trace.
