Description from the seller
Presenting a distinguished 26-year-old release from Old Fettercairn, crafted for the coveted Stillman’s Dram collection.
This exceptionally scarce expression was matured for over a quarter of a century and bottled as part of one of the most sought-after series in the whisky world. Each bottle in the release carries its own unique number, underscoring its exclusivity. The bottle for sale here is No. 02966
Founded in 1825, Fettercairn is one of Scotland’s historic distilleries. Aside from a brief closure during the 1930s, it has continued to operate through changing eras and ownerships. The distillery reopened in 1939 under Associated Scottish Distilleries—then part of the post-Prohibition National Distillers group in the United States. When ASD dissolved in 1954, Fettercairn changed hands several times until Whyte & Mackay acquired it in 1973. While the whisky played a key role in their blends, the company also championed Fettercairn as a single malt, with select casks released to independent bottlers for editions such as this.
The Stillman’s Dram range highlighted mature, characterful whiskies drawn from the portfolios of Invergordon Distillers and later Whyte & Mackay, featuring notable distilleries including Jura, Tullibardine, and Bruichladdich. This 26-year-old Old Fettercairn stands proudly among those rare and remarkable offerings.
