Montblanc 142G fountain pen, model 142G, made in Germany in the mid-1950s, with a black celluloid body and cap, gold-filled rings and clip, materials resin/polyester and gold plating, length 126 mm and diameter 13.4 mm, in good used condition and in working order.
Description from the seller
This Montblanc 142G is in very solid condition for a piece manufactured in the 1950s. The body and cap, made of black celluloid, retain a deep and uniform shine, accompanied only by micro signs of use typical of its age. The rings and the gold-filled clip maintain their structural integrity and attractive gold finish, showing minimal wear consistent with moderate use.
The original 14C EF nib, perfectly aligned and without deformations, offers an excellent promise of performance. The engravings remain sharp, and the ebonite feeder shows a good overall condition, with its fins intact and no visible obstructions. It is a set that guarantees smooth and controlled writing, typical of the 14X series.
The ink window exhibits notable transparency, demonstrating a well-preserved piston system. The piston action remains functional, allowing for efficient and reliable loading. On the base, the inscriptions '142 G' and 'EF' are fully visible, reinforcing their authenticity and original configuration.
Overall, this Montblanc 142G is a complete vintage piece, aesthetically and mechanically well-maintained, ready to be integrated into a demanding collection or to be used daily with the classic experience that only an instrument from this era can offer.
It will be sent in a courtesy box for proper preservation.
