Description from the seller
Pablo Picasso was an innovative artist who experimented and innovated throughout his more than 92 years on earth. He was not only a master painter but also a sculptor, engraver, ceramic artist, printmaker, and writer. Pablo Picasso made one of his sketchbooks available for publication. This was done in 1959 by Editions Cercle d'Art, and the lithographs were printed at the Mourlot studio in Paris. The result was a limited edition of exact replicas of Picasso's original sketchbook, called 'Carnet de la Californie.' Some of Picasso's original drawings were executed on both sides of the paper, which is why some of these lithographs feature compositions on both sides. These Picasso Carnet Californie lithographs are beautifully printed on the same type of woven paper commonly used in sketchbooks. Picasso's ongoing passionate pursuit in his many romantic connections throughout his life inspired him to create countless paintings, sculptures, and engravings. Limited edition of 1000 - Lithograph on paper.
