A beautiful, authentic color woodblock print from the late Edo period, printed in Ansei 5 (1858). This work is from Hiroshige's famous series "36 Views of Mount Fuji," one of his last and most artistically accomplished landscape series.
The print depicts Lake Suwa in Shinano Province, with fishing boats in the foreground and Mount Fuji rising majestically above the tranquil water. The bokashi color gradients typical of Hiroshige, the fine lines, and the atmospheric depth are exceptionally well preserved.
Authenticity features
• Original Edo-period publisher's stamp of Uoya Eikichi (bottom edge)
• Aratame censorship temple from the Edo period
• Printed on handmade Kozo-Washi (typical long fibers visible)
• Deep pigment application and finely registered lines – characteristic of genuine Edo prints
• No modern reprint, no mechanical reproduction
