CORNEILLE (Liège 1922 – Auvers-sur-Oise 2010)
Corneille (born Guillaume Cornelis van Beverloo) was an influential Dutch artist, born in 1922 and died in 2010. His unique and colorful artworks have left a lasting mark on the modern art world. As a co-founder of the CoBrA movement – an avant-garde group active between 1948 and 1951 – Corneille played an important role in revitalizing the post-war art scene.
