For sale is a vividly colored Ukiyo-e triptych from the workshop of Utagawa Toyokuni, executed in traditional Japanese woodcut technique. The depiction shows a figure-rich scene in a wide landscape, typical of the narrative visual language of the Utagawa School. The carefully crafted kimonos with decorative patterns, the vibrant colors, and the clearly visible printing marks and publisher cartouches attest to the classic woodcut technique. The sheet is presented under glass in a simple frame.
