Hand-signed, numbered and titled by artist in pencil in the lower margin, included artist red seal.

Hajime Namiki is one of the most popular contemporary woodblock printmakers. Specialized in botanical scenes over rich metallic backgrounds.
As an experienced sculptor, his carving technique on hard cherry wood allowed him to achieve the intricate details that few other woodblock artists could. In printing, Namiki used gold and silver leaf to add luminosity to his prints, an uncommon choice in this medium.
Born: 1947 Tokyo, JAPAN
Education: Studied under Ogura Mozan and Kato Yaso.
Collections : White House, University of Wisconsin, Los Angeles County Museum of Art Exhibitions : Tokyo, Wisconsin, and so on.
