Description from the seller

Ronson table lighter – Queen Anne style – 1950s/60s

Superb Ronson Premier Varaflame table lighter, an iconic model from the 1950s–1960s, representative of the 'Space Age' design of the era. It is one of the first lighters to operate with butane gas, equipped with a variable flame system, a technology introduced by Ronson in 1957.

Main features
• Brand: Ronson
• Model: Premier Varaflame – Queen Anne style (often called 'ship').
Vintage table lighter
Period: Around the 1950s to 1960s.
• Origin: United Kingdom or United States (origin marking usually under the base)
• Material: Chromed or satin silver metal, heavy and stable base.
• Design: Oval shape with a textured/veined top, typical of the Varaflame models.
Dimensions (approx.):
Height: ~6 cm
Width: approximately 8.6 cm
Depth: ~4.4 cm
Weight: Heavy and well-balanced, like all Ronson table lighters.

Operation

The lighter operates on butane gas and uses a flint stone for ignition. The Varaflame mechanism allows for flame height adjustment.

Regarding the operation, it is simply a matter of recharging the gas and making a small adjustment at the level of the stone. Aside from that, it is in very good overall condition.
