Description from the seller
The Ascorti brand was founded in 1980 by Roberto Ascorti, the son of Giuseppe Ascorti (co-founder of Caminetto with Luigi Radice).
The 'Sabbia di Oro' series is one of Ascorti's classic lines, characterized by:
Deep and uniform sandblasting
Red or maroon color.
Traditional pipe mouthpiece with engraved logo in gold.
and a robust design, typically 'Pesaro'.
The SINI logo engraved on the blowpipe is extremely rare and indicates a collaboration or an internal identification of a sandblaster or finisher master (presumably Sini Ascorti, KS line, 1990s).
Estimated production: the 1990s - early 2000s, during the period of full autonomy of the Cucciago laboratory.
It is a sanded model with a wine-red Bordeaux finish, which highlights the growth ring of the root wood.
Black polished ebonite, with an 'A' logo set in gold, featuring exquisite craftsmanship with a traditionally calibrated tenon.
Form: Billiard KS1 (King Size), slightly curved
Finish: Sand of Gold, Bordeaux color
Material: Italian Erica Root veneer
Bocchino: Black ebonite with a gold 'A' insert.
Processing: Entirely handcrafted (Hand Made in Italy)
Artisan: Ascorti (Cucciago, Como)
Length: 157 mm, weight: 80 g.
