Christophe Sawadogo (1972) - La Fiancée

Born in 1972 in Tikaré, Burkina Faso. Lives and works in Burkina Faso.

His first calling was to become a doctor then a critic. Ultimately, he turned towards the visual arts.
The passion for writing has never left him, however. This artist, enamored with words, poetry, and calligraphy, has continuously sprinkled his pictorial work with phrases, fragments, and letters.

Merging colors and graphics on the canvas, he creates works where the fluidity of his stroke is combined with a brilliant palette of colors. Here, everything is suggested, whispered in a mist of restlessness.

Christophe Sawadogo has participated in solo and group exhibitions in many African countries. He has also exhibited in Europe: France, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Belgium, Spain…
