Work description
This first piece is part of an introspective triptych that explores the human condition through three temporal stages: past, present, and future. Born from an intimate dialogue between model and artist, the work is a plastic reinterpretation of the subject's psyche.
In 'Karina's past,' we delve into the origin of emotional wounds. The piece explores the paradox of external validation: the relentless pursuit of paternal approval that, ironically, culminates in deep personal disapproval.
The artist constructs a visual metaphor of psychological confinement. Fear of judgment and reprimand is not depicted with screams but through an 'empty room': a space of isolation where one's own voice is silenced and silence becomes the only possible language. A moving work that materializes the loneliness of misunderstood childhood.
