Description from the seller

Original gelatin silver print* exposed in darkroom from Ambrotype glass plate**
Edition: 5/7 2020
Photography is signed and numbered by artist on verso (+ inside the portfolio)
Sheet size: 42x30cm (image size: 24x18cm)

Print is placed in beautiful handmade portfolio using transparent plastic corners (easy to take photography out). The cards inside are made of handmade art paper - warm toned. Cover is made of strong black washable paper).

GELATIN SILVER PRINT
* Print was made in the darkroom under an enlarger on old photographic paper Fotonbrom (Baryta - matt) from the 80's. Slightly warm toned, treated for archival permanence, air-dried and heat-pressed.* (The gelatin silver process is the basic chemical process used in black and white photography. The whole process takes place in a photo darkroom and the photo is hand-made by the artist.)

AMBROTYPE
** (In short, ambrotype is an early form of photography in which a photograph is created by placing a glass negative on a dark background. Ambrotype was introduced in the 1850s and is commonly called "collodion positive" because a positive photograph is created on glass in a variation of the collodion process on a wet plate. This method requires the use of silver and collodion to take a photo, and the photo taken with it is eternal.)
