Montblanc Meisterstück piston fountain pen in precious resin with a 14K gold EF nib, made in Germany in the second half of the 20th century, 140 mm long and 13 mm in diameter, in excellent condition and fully functional.
Description from the seller
As new! Internally cleaned, lubricated ( fountain pen specialty silicone oil + amorphous silica) & TESTED
Perfect gift!
Dear future buyer,
This piece has been fully reconditioned and is ready for use, thank you!
The story of this pen begins a few years ago when one of my professors gifted it to me for my design studies and it was also one of the first in my collection. I fully disassembled it and lubricated it to its former glory from the 1960s.
This is a beautiful 14K gold nib Montblanc Meisterstück 32 piston pen. This outstanding pen stands out with its special "intarsia" nib, specific to a few production years in the 1960s. Also, in time the pen tip got covered in an iridescent layer of iron, making it appear fire-like, which is a very attractive trait that pushed me towards the first purchase.
The vintage pen expert Peter Unbehauen considers this model to be among the best pens ever made, given the perfect balance between flexibility and alloy stability, adding the vintage design charm! Take a look at the review here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=VVzPf-oLip8
The pen mechanism was inspected and it is propelling and intaking ink correctly, along with being esthetically complete. The piston is smooth!
According to the MB catalogues of the 60s, the nib is extra fine (E-F class) and of intarsia type.
As a vintage objects collector myself, I made sure you will get a fully functional and complete piece of art, using my extensive knowledge and handling them with care, as I would do for myself.
I will never give away something I wouldn't want myself, even more so since everything here is part of my own collection.
Please Note:
-The pen is a piston type and doesn't need cartridges! You can use any ink bottle and dip the pen in it!
-The box is there to provide a safe cushion for the pen, during the photographing process.
-The shipping will be done by courier, with the best protective packaging, insurance and a tracking code, as I would want for myself
Thank you.
Happy holidays and happy treasure hunting!
