Description from the seller
The Rotterdam artist Henk Tas (1949) combines various images from popular visual culture, mass media, and advertising in his photographic works. Through colorful photography, sometimes combined with other techniques, he transforms these into his 'magic photos,' which have been acquired by Boijmans, Centre Pompidou, and other museums. Actually, Tas would have preferred to become a rock star; being a visual artist is his second choice. As a result, rock & roll and a hefty dose of glamour always spill over from his work. The objects he photographs, often making them unrecognizable, he sees as vehicles for feelings.
Dimensions with frame: 160 x 112 cm
Dimensions without a frame: 146 x 99 cm.
Viewing is, of course, possible. Additionally, we have our own in-house framing workshop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary. Furthermore, we collaborate with restorers from the professional organization: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you wish to make use of this service, we would of course be happy to hear from you.
