Description from the seller

30 editions for this work
1/30 for the one displayed.
Dimensions: 60/40 cm

Fallen in a cold and deserted landscape, a solitary house stands facing the vastness. The gray light barely reveals its contours, as if hesitant to show it entirely. It seems to stand upright out of instinct, stubbornness, and fatigue too — much like the man who might live there.

Nothing around her.
Silence, mist, the heavy air that crushes the world.
An atmosphere that does not protect: it exposes. It strips away. It shows what is usually hidden.

This scene is not a landscape.
It is a materialized state of mind.

One reads about voluntary isolation, inner weariness, withdrawal from noise, rejection of the system, the search for a place where one can finally breathe — even if the air is heavy.
It is a raw, almost primitive vision of a man who has chosen to disappear a little in order to find himself entirely.

The house becomes a mirror
A fragile, tenacious shelter, built on the border of resilience and renunciation.
A refuge for those who walk alone, for those who carry on despite exhaustion, for those who know depression without ever using the word.

The work captures that moment when one no longer flees from the world…
we get out of it
We become different.
We become a hermit of ourselves.
