Enumerati unfolds as a field of repeated vertical marks—layered strokes set against a deep black ground, shifting subtly in density, direction, and rhythm.
What first appears systematic becomes more human the longer you look: each line slightly different, each gesture carrying its own pace, pressure, and presence.

The work evokes the idea of a tally, a register, or a coded sequence—yet never resolves into a literal system.

About the artist

MiLo (1976) is an Amsterdam-based artist with a background in photography and art studies.
He has sold more than 800 original works, now residing in private collections, hotels, restaurants, and offices across Europe, the United States, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

His practice ranges from early Pollock-inspired action painting to geometric compositions and the layered, scratched surfaces he explores today.
MiLo investigates the tension between construction and erosion—building up and scraping back until traces emerge.
The forms may recall urban structures, geological strata, or remnants of thought, while remaining open to interpretation.

Each work is part of an ongoing exploration of abstraction, memory, and transformation, making MiLo one of the most prolific and recognizable contemporary artists on Catawiki.
