As you can see from the photos, this is a magnificent piece.
The facial expression is exquisite, a testament to the master's skill.
The back is stamped with the artist's seal, "Tangetsu."
It comes with a storage cloth with a gold-thread design and a dedicated string.

This Showa-era Noh mask is a type known as a komen, primarily used in the Kanze school of Noh to portray a youthful feminine figure.

In Noh, komen are used to portray noble young women, graceful princesses, or refined court ladies.

Combining beauty and inner strength, the performer is able to express delicate emotions richly through refined movements and lighting.

There are signs of wear due to age, minor scratches, and discoloration on the chin.
