Description from the seller

Rare box 'Eros in Japan,' a luxurious edition limited to 300 copies, published in 1982, work directed by Kazuhiko Fukuda (artist, painter, and one of the leading specialists in Shunga art).
Complete edition of 75 plates (21 x 29.7 cm) numbered from 1 to 75 (the count has been verified), printed on thick bistre card, with copyright on the back (all remained in excellent condition, very few manipulated).
This publication largely focuses on the master painters of the 17th century, including Ogata Korin (1658-1716), perhaps the most important artist of all. It features some masterpieces and a translation of his biography uploaded at the end. You will notice his wave painting (created 30 years before Hokusai's wave), his work with gold, and the modernism present in many of his pieces, which inspired numerous artists around the world.
It also presents other masters of the 17th century, such as Moroshige, Settei, and Hishikawa.
Some works from the 18th and 19th centuries, and very interesting the last 8 pieces (painters unknown) from the 20th century.
The conditions remained very good to excellent. The box is slightly worn, with violet fabric worn on the corners. There is a small bump at the bottom (see photos). Inside, there are small stains on the left side (see photos). The plates remain in excellent condition, with minor manipulations.
