Description from the seller

Charatan of London - Trafalgar 2651
La Charatan was founded in London in 1863 by Frederick Charatan, becoming the first true English factory specializing in handmade pipes.
During the Lane period (1955–1978), Charatan achieved the highest quality: hand-carved mouthpieces, selected English stems, typical red-mahogany finishes, and 'Double Comfort' inserts.

Charatan pipes from the Lane era are today among the most sought after by collectors.
