Description from the seller

Artemidatre collection compass with a relief in 925 silver by Franz Borghese – 'Characters' – complete with box and warranty.

A refined object of art and design, created in the 70s-80s by the Artemidatre workshop, renowned for its limited edition releases in collaboration with major contemporary Italian artists.
This desk compass is embellished with a relief in 925 silver signed by Franz Borghese (1941-2005), one of the most recognizable and beloved artists of the second half of the twentieth century. His ironic and theatrical figures, here encapsulated in the subject 'Characters,' transform a simple navigation tool into an art object that combines functionality, irony, and collectibility.
The compass is contained within its original satin-finished metal case, with a shaped black velvet interior, which is itself stored in a rigid box covered in red faux leather. Additionally, the Artemidatre warranty and authenticity certificate is included, confirming its edition.
A rare and sought-after item, ideal for collectors of contemporary art, Italian modern antiques, and works by Franz Borghese.
