Description from the seller

1982 Borges Pinto Vintage Port 1 x 0.75L
1 Bottle
Port Wine

DESCRIPTION
Founded in 1884, Sociedade dos Vinhos Borges has a long history of making and marketing great wines. Two enterprising brothers, António and Francisco Borges, who had remarkable business acumen and a deep passion for both the land and wine began the task of building their vision into the company that we know today.
Since 1998, Borges has been part of JMV group, which is led by the Vieira family and wholly Portuguese owned. Our wines are part of an extensive portfolio that is sourced from three of Portugal's main demarcated regions, where we have our own winemaking estates. Under one roof, we bring together the versatility and uniqueness of wines from the Douro, Dão and Vinho Verde regions, the nobility of Port wines and the elegance of sparkling wines.
Borges has three winemaking centres in each of these regions and produce over 6 million bottles annually.

WINE VARIETIES: Tinta Amarela, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Barroca & Touriga Franca.

VINIFICATION
After receiving the grapes, transported to arrive at the winery in perfect condition, they are crushed and de-stemmed. They ferment for 3 to 4 days in contact with the skins, immersed by regular pumping over, for greater extraction of color and aromas. At the appropriate time, the must skins are separated and wine brandy was added. The wine then ages in small oak casks for up to two years. Finally, it is bottled, completing its evolution in the bottle.

TASTING NOTES
Clear wine, tawny red in color. Aroma with notes of red fruits and dried fruits, characteristics of its evolution throughout the bottle stage. Sweet and persistent flavor, showing a positive evolution of the wine.

SERVING
A vintage can be enjoyed without accompaniment, but it goes equally well with fatty cheeses and chocolate or red fruit desserts. For lovers of a good cigar you can create unique experiences. Serve between 14ºC and 15ºC.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a recurring auction. The seal number(s) you see on the photos might differ from the one(s) on your bottle(s).
