From 1971 to 1975, Molenkamp attended the Academy of Visual Arts St. Joost in Breda. From 1977 to 1979, she studied drawing and painting at the Tilburg Academy of Visual Arts. Molenkamp worked for a few years in Utrecht during the 1980s. She now lives and works in Tilburg. Born into an artists' family, Charlotte Molenkamp decided to pursue an art education in 1971.
After her education in Tilburg, she found a part-time job as a drawing and art history teacher, while also focusing on her own work. In 1980, she started creating gouaches in her own house in Utrecht. In 1983, she moved to Tilburg, where she has a studio at her home. There, she began making paintings with oil paint. Exhibitions and awards: Charlotte Molenkamp's first exhibition was at the Tilburg Theater, following her win in a painting competition. Her first exhibition of oil paintings was held together with Eugène Brands in a gallery in Eindhoven. Her work has been included in various corporate collections, including those of ABN Amro, Philips, Interpolis, and Rabobank.
The Royal House also possesses works by Charlotte Molenkamp. She exhibits annually at various national and international galleries and art fairs.
