We present to you the Marlen Sundial Collection.
The Sundial fountain pen proposes a traditional time-measuring system in a modern way: the sundial. The operating principle of this instrument derives from the varying height of the sun on the horizon during the day and across different months of the year. In this case, the sundial is the gnomon clip, which rises perpendicularly and casts a shadow on the pen's barrel. The three spheres correspond to three latitude points highlighted on the barrel. The barrel is silver-plated, polished and satin-finished, engraved with symbols representing the hours of the day, zodiac signs, and the calendar, arranged to determine the time based on the shadow cast by the gnomon. Sundial has also been produced in a roller version. Both models feature a black resin cap with silver decorations. The top of the cap, made of silver, is decorated with a traditional low-relief image of the sun, while the upper ring is engraved with the Marlen brand and serial number. On the end cap, another low-relief silver disc displays the cardinal points with the compass rose.
