Signed lower left 'Constant Artz' (Artist Constant David Ludovic Artz was born on June 3, 1870, in Paris. He is best known for his many water views with ducks, of which this painting is a perfect example and certainly one of his better works. He masterfully depicted ducks with their ducklings. Besides ducks, he also painted Dutch landscapes. Constant Artz was the son of the Hague School painter D.A.C. Artz. Constant Artz died in 1951 in Soest).

The painting is in impeccable condition and is encased in a neat, sturdy wooden frame.
