Description from the seller
Impressionist Landscape
School: Spanish (20th century)
Author: Joaquín Asensio Mariné
Joaquín Asensio Mariné was a 20th-century Spanish painter whose work falls within Mediterranean impressionism. He was known for his urban and rural landscapes, executed with loose brushwork, a luminous palette, and a special sensitivity for capturing atmospheres and light effects.
Style: Impressionism
Technique: oil on canvas
A fully impressionist work that shows an architectural view set in a mountainous environment. In the foreground, several attached buildings are depicted, with light-colored walls and wooden balconies, built on a steep slope that leads down to a watercourse. The brushwork is vibrant, gestural, and rich in chromatic nuances, effectively capturing the wear of the stone, the light hitting the facades, and the depth of the scene.
Towards the back, a landscape of blue mountains and autumn foliage unfolds, depicted through patches of warm and greenish colors that provide balance to the composition. The sky, rendered in soft tones, enhances the fresh and natural atmosphere of the scene. The painting retains the essence of the Mediterranean landscape, with an agile and spontaneous execution characteristic of the artist.
Wooden framed with a gold finish, decorated with sinuous reliefs characteristic of classical aesthetics. It features a uniform gold finish and adds elegance and presence to the piece.
Remarks:
The frame comes as a gift. It may be damaged during transport even if it is properly packaged.
