Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Parker Duofold fountain pen from the mid-20th century, made in the United States, with an orange celluloid body and gold cap accents, 114 mm long and 12 mm in diameter, one item, in good used condition with minor signs of age, 14k gold nib intact and in working order.
Description from the seller
An authentic example of the Parker Duofold is presented, an iconic piece from the Parker firm and one of the most representative models of North American writing from the early 20th century. This pen retains all the essential elements that have made it a historical reference within collecting: its solid presence, its classic construction in orange permanite, and the unmistakable gold nib that characterizes the Duofold line.
The overall condition is notable for an item of its era. The body and cap maintain excellent structural integrity, with no visible cracks or repairs, preserving the characteristic deep orange color of the model. It shows signs of use typical of its age, such as microabrasions and slight surface marks that do not affect its overall aesthetics or functionality. The gold rings on the cap and the 'ball clip' type clip show slight, uniform wear consistent with natural aging of the material.
The 14-karat gold nib remains properly seated, with a clean surface and no deformations, maintaining the original engraving 'Parker Duofold' clearly defined. The ebonite feed is intact, and the button-loading system retains its firmness, although, as with all vintage pieces of this type, preventive maintenance is recommended for continuous use.
Overall, this Parker Duofold offers an exceptional balance of historical authenticity, solid physical condition, and undeniable aesthetic appeal. It is an ideal piece for serious collectors seeking a reference specimen, as well as for users who want a fully functional vintage fountain pen with its own character. Its presence and color make it an immediately eye-catching piece in any collection.
It will be sent in a courtesy box for proper preservation.
