This image seems like a scream, frozen on canvas. The yellow spreads out, almost garishly, like a stage on which everything unfolds. But at the center, the red confronts us – it splashes, disrupting order, reminiscent of blood, of the moment when something or someone is given, perhaps not willingly. The dark V cuts through the scene like an open wound, heavy, inescapable.

"The Sacrifice" carries within it something deeply human: the pain that remains after something precious has been lost. It is not only violence, but also devotion, not only destruction, but also memory. Anyone who stands before it senses that something has been offered here—and that it leaves traces, both in the image and in ourselves.
