Parker 180 gold-plated fountain pen with a brass body and cap, 23-carat gold plating, 133 mm long and 9 mm in diameter, made in Germany, in good used condition and in working order, with a reversible stainless steel nib plated in gold (Medium/Extra Fine) and Parker cartridge or converter mechanism functioning.
Description from the seller
This Parker 180 Gold Plated GT is presented in excellent condition, distinguished by its innovative and refined design of the Parker 180 series, one of the most versatile fountain pens of the brand during the 1970s and 1980s.
The body and cap, made of brass plated with 23-karat gold and finely engraved with linear patterns, maintain a bright and uniform shine, preserving their original luster. The engravings 'PARKER' and 'Made in U.S.A.' are perfectly legible, demonstrating authenticity and minimal handling over time.
The arrow-shaped clip, an iconic symbol of Parker, remains firm, aligned, and without any loss of gold. The metallic edges and the joining ring are in optimal condition, with no oxidation or dents.
The grip section, made of black resin with a checkered pattern, remains clean and with intact texture, showing very light use and no perceptible wear.
The reversible nib, made of stainless steel gold-plated, is perfectly aligned and functional, with smooth strokes and a steady flow. Its Medium / Extra Fine setting (marked 'XM') allows switching between two writing styles, reinforcing the technical and distinctive character of the model.
The loading mechanism (for cartridge or Parker converter) functions correctly, with no signs of obstruction or residue. The interior of the feeder appears clean and in good operational condition.
Overall, this piece shows outstanding conservation (9/10), with a perfect balance between aesthetics, structural integrity, and functionality. Ideal for both demanding collectors and those seeking a fully usable vintage pen with a touch of luxury presence.
It will be sent in a courtesy box for proper preservation.
