The item was in a significantly worse state of disrepair than described or than could reasonably be seen in the photographs.

This is a blatant lie. The item fully matches the description and photographs. All of its characteristics are clearly visible in the lot photographs. The item is approximately one hundred years old. Naturally, it is not new and shows signs of wear, use and age, minor traces of past woodworm activity, scuffs, and so on. Catawiki sells vintage items with a history; the marks left by time are part of their unique charm. This is not IKEA or AliExpress

Tutto bene.cornici belle e spedizione accurata

Item arrived damaged. Informed seller without asking for reparation. Response was sarcastic. Did not see any photo request at the time. Communication has been unpleasant.

Dear Buyer,

On what grounds do you believe that a response to your rather rude lecturing should be pleasant? I replied to you in a completely neutral manner that the item had been packed in full accordance with the carrier’s requirements, using bubble wrap and thick cardboard, but unfortunately, items can sometimes be damaged during transportation through the fault of the carrier.

I also asked you to provide photographs of the alleged damage so that the matter could be addressed properly. However, apart from your first and only message containing complaints, I received no further information from you. From this, one may conclude that perhaps the item was not damaged at all, and that your only intention was to assert yourself by trying to lecture another person on how to do their job.

Approximately six weeks have passed since the transaction, and suddenly you have decided to reappear with this nasty and completely unsubstantiated comment.

Frame largely as described. Don’t think it is walnut as the grain tis too different. Next time do mention when a thick varnish is applied.

Dear Buyer, thank you for your feedback. You have purchased a truly magnificent vintage frame, a rare and distinctive piece with notable decorative and artistic value. Regarding the varnish, I did not measure its thickness, so I could not provide a specific measurement in the description. However, the listing included numerous clear and detailed photographs, including close-up images. Photographs are an integral part of the description and accurately show the actual condition of the item, its surface, texture, and other characteristics. I sincerely hope that this beautiful frame will find a worthy place in your interior and bring you joy and aesthetic pleasure for many years to come. Kind regards, Alexey Lukyanenko

Very pretty jardiniere in very good condition and it’s just as described. Only issue is that UPS didn’t call when delivering and I had to pick it up at an inconvenient location. But I am very pleased

Thank you very much for your kind feedback! I’m very happy that you are pleased with the jardiniere. I’m sorry to hear that the delivery was inconvenient, and I hope you will enjoy your purchase for many years to come.

Kind regards,
Alexey Lukyanenko
