The beautiful, imposing sculpture is "The Farmer with Two Cows," produced by the prestigious German manufactory Meissen. The designer of the model is Otto Pilz, who created this group of figural pieces around 1905–1906. A standout example of Art Nouveau in porcelain,

On a circular rocaille base rests a group of four putti intent on feeding a fire on a small pedestal. Very likely they are little cupids fueling the fire of love; the first is bent down to gather firewood, the second on the right looks at the fire, the third on the left climbs

Unique Objects

Occasionally, two different bidders may show up in the bidding history with the same bid amount. This occurs when one user's bid is exactly the same as an automatic (maximum) bid placed by another user earlier. Since the auto-bid was placed first, this takes preference. The bidding history will show both bids, with the auto-bid ranked as the higher of the two.


Double bid
