Volumes 19-22 (2002-2005) of the magazine in the numbering that started in 1984 when the magazine was started to be published as 'The Kew Magazine' (reverted back to Curtis's Botanical Magazine in 1995). Each volume consists of 4 issues in a firm paperback binding. Each volume contains plant portraits that are illustrated by a color plate and line drawings showing botanical details, and accompanied by an essay of 4-8 pages discussing botanical and horticultural aspects of the plants: Volume 19: portraits/plates No. 432-455 Volume 20: portraits/plates No. 456-479 Volume 21: portraits/plates No. 480-510 Volume 22: portraits/plates No. 511-542 Together, these 4 volumes contain 111 plates. Apart from the plant portraits, most issues also contains 1-2 further articles with color and b/w illustrations on a variety of topics, including plant geography, ecology, and the history of botany and botanical illustration. Volume 21, part 1 is a special issue dedicated to the botanical garden Wakehust Place, and Volume 22, part 1 is a special issue dedicated to orchids. About 250 pages per volume. The current annual subscription price of Curtis's Botanical Magazine is €140 for individual customers. All issues are in as-new condition.
