Svein Strand was a Norwegian painter, draftsman and graphic artist . He moved from a concise and fixed form of composition in the late 1950s, via a delicate naturalism in the early 1960s and to a more expressive expression in the 1990s. Many of his motifs show clear references to French art from the first half of the 20th century.
