Authorized printing of the poster for Oskar Schlemmer’s 1924 performance of “Das Triadische Ballett”. Schlemmer was a German painter, sculptor, designer and choreographer associated with the Bauhaus school where in 1923, he was hired as Master of Form. Printed in 1994 on heavy paper. This ballet, which condenses Schlemmer’s vision and ambitions for modern theatre, was described by him as: “Form, colour, and space. The three dimensions of space: height, depth and width. The fundamental forms: sphere, cube and pyramid. The primary colours: red, blue and yellow. The trinity of dance, costume and music.” Condition: Excellent; carefully stored over the years to protect it from light and humidity; it has never been framed.
