This is a rare and highly collectible vintage Pilot Justus fountain pen from the 1970s — the original version of the iconic adjustable-nib design that Pilot later reintroduced as the Justus 95. The pen features Pilot's unique patented nib flexibility system: a rotating ring on the section adjusts the nib stiffness from H (Hard) to S (Soft), allowing the writer to customize the feel and feedback of the nib. This mechanism — visible and functional — is what makes the Justus one of the most technically interesting fountain pens ever produced in Japan. Nib: 14k gold (585), fine point, double-layer construction with overlay plate. The nib is exposed and tapered in classic vintage Japanese style. Incised markings: 14k 585 F.
