Lot of 4 Denmark 5 Kroner 1942 – Danmarks Nationalbank – Prefixes G & H Lot of four Danish 5 Kroner banknotes dated 1942, issued by Danmarks Nationalbank. The four distinct serial numbers are H 2844724, H 6800179, H 7672368 and G 8922283, providing three H-prefix examples and one G-prefix example of the same wartime Danish issue. The face is dominated by the inscription “DANMARK – FEM KRONER”, with an engraved Danish landscape and prehistoric dolmen in the central vignette, framed by elaborate ornamental scrollwork. The reverse carries the large denomination “5”, the inscription “FEM KRONER” and the crowned Danish coat of arms surrounded by foliage and a multicolour pale green and pink ornamental background. All four notes retain clear printed details, readable dates, signatures and serial numbers. The group represents four examples of the same 1942 Danmarks Nationalbank 5 Kroner type while preserving different serial-prefix and signature combinations. The overall visual appearance varies substantially between the four notes, ranging from a relatively clean, lightly handled example to a considerably more circulated example. Condition: serial H 2844724 is the best-preserved note in the group, with clean surfaces, strong printing, only light handling and a faint central vertical crease, together with mild marginal toning and no visible tears. H 6800179 shows a central vertical fold, additional light circulation creasing, moderate age toning and slightly softened edges and corners, without any major visible tears. H 7672368 has distinct vertical and horizontal circulation folds, marginal wear, a folded lower-right corner and a small split/nick at the lower edge where the central fold meets the margin. G 8922283 is the most heavily circulated example, with pronounced intersecting folds, stronger overall toning and soiling, brownish staining toward the left side, softened margins and corners, and small splits at the upper and lower ends of the central fold. No large areas of missing paper are visible on any of the four notes.
