With discussions of reindeer, legends and literature, arts and crafts and the fjords, amongst a variety of other topics. The book is wonderfully illustrated with 75 striking full page colour plates, captioned on the tissue guards, by Nico Jungman. Published by Adam and Charles Black, London 1905. Publisher’s original green cloth, with gilt lettering, and decorations in orange and black on upper cover and spine. Top page edges gilt. External covers are in nice shape, slightly marked and worn at corners and spine ends. Internally the book is in very good condition. Old inscription with neat ink on top first half title page. All pages are tightly held at the gutter. Inner hinges are very good. Pages are clean, with occasional light foxing to the margin of some pages and page edges. All colour plates are present and bright (Please see pictures).
