A true Sony gem from the golden era of turntables. The PS-2510 is the successor of the PS-2500 (In Europe known as the ps-2250. The PS-2510 was a 'Japan only' model and was therefore never sold outside Japan, making it a rare unit. It works flawlessly. Optically the unit has clear marks of wear and tear. The turntable comes with an original Sony head shell and the rare extra counterweight which is almost always lost over time. The Technics EPC-290C cartridge is included. Complete unit has been technically checked, no malfunctions whatsoever.

Shipping and packaging will be done with great precision. The platter will be dismounted from the deck and packed separately. The cover will be detached from the deck so there will be no pressure on the hinges and the back avoiding cracking when transported. The transportation screws will be fixed, so the motor will not experience any bouncing during shipping.

A direct drive player system equipped with a newly developed AC servo motor.

Using an AC servo motor, there is no transmission or reduction mechanism at all, thus achieving excellent characteristics.
Since it is a servo motor, speed switching and adjustment are electronic.

A 31 cm aluminum die-cast turntable has been adopted for the turntable.
Accurate strobe and large neon tube enable correct rotation number check and pitch adjustment.

A dedicated IC is used for the servo circuit to improve reliability.

The tone arm uses a newly developed universal type static balance type arm and is equipped with a lateral balancer, inside for scan seller, arm lifter, 0 balance fine adjustment and arm height adjustment device.
In addition, a rubber damper that cuts vibration from the board is used in the support part to improve S/N.

Equipped with a replacement shell stand for heavy cartridges.

The output code is a low-capacity code with less high-frequency loss.

You can adjust the angle of the head shell and keep the needle perpendicular to the record plane.

The cabinet is equipped with an insulator that has been pursued theoretically. It is resistant to howling and needle skipping and prevents S/N deterioration due to floor vibration.
In addition, the acrylic dust cover is removable and is designed as a fleece top.
