The combination of the bright colors make this artwork a truly unique and exclusive piece. Karel Appel is one of the most important exponents of European expressionism. In 1948, he founded the Cobra movement with other well known artists like Corneille, Carl Henning Pedersen, Asger Jorn and Pierre Alechinsky.
